Roadtrippin': Saturday, we took a mini road trip upstate to visit some of Adam's college friends and we stopped in at the local mall. I don't know what holiday it was but WOW there were some great sales. I definitely stocked up on some great pieces for our upcoming San Diego trip (next weekend! WOOHOO!) like this FABULOUS Bebe dress:

Definitely excited to wear this out for dinner! I love the color and the fit was extremely flattering. I'm thinking flat sandals to dress it down a bit. Or is this a "with wedges" dress? Let me know below!! :)
Jaxon's new favorite word is "Why": On the road, Jaxon loved asking "why" after everything Adam said . Thankfully, this new found curiosity about everything and anything was reserved for Dad. Three and a half hours in the car and a good portion of the sounds coming from the back seat were "why?" and little bursts of giggles (my heart melts everytime I hear that sound!) I don't know if this is a new little habit picked up from his friends on playdates but let's hope this phase ends... QUICK!
Taco Bell Double Steak Quesadilla... Double disappointment: Overpriced, average, unsatisfying... the list could go on and on. I'm not a big fast food eater but I admit, the commercials got me. Maybe it was just how it was made at my local Taco Hut ( that's a combination of Taco Bell and Pizza Hut in one building), but I basically got bread, cheese, and about four chunks of steak. No me gusta. (Photoshop at it's finest below!)

Sad day for a Gleek: I was beyond crushed hearing about the unexpected passing of Glee star, Cory Monteith. I really thought it was a hoax until the official rep statements started coming out. Although I have not kept up with watching the show consistently, I loved the message that Glee sent about embracing who you are! It's rare to see a show that encourages kids to be themselves instead of be obnoxious or exhibiting bad behavior to get attention. I'm very interested to see how the show will continue. My heart really goes out to his family and friends and especially poor Lea Michele.

Now that the weekend is over, it's back to taking care of the busy bodies and this mountain of laundry I can't ever seem to conquer. How was your weekend??
The dress is so cute! I wished there was a maxi-version ;-) I think both wedges or flats would work. Is your hubby a lot taller than you? Then I'd take wedges, otherwise go with flats ;-)
ReplyDeleteSorry the Taco Bell was such a flop. I try to avoid eating any fast food, because it's usually disappointing, but sometimes, the girls just ask for it so cute..
We spent Saturday at a birthday party at a park and then hiking and hanging out at the beach with friends, and went to another beach on Sunday. That is a cute dress. I never got into Glee, but I'm sad to hear about Cory too... although hopefully his death will send a message to other teens about drinking and drugs. Thanks for dropping by my blog. :)
ReplyDelete@Stephanie - Yeah, I'm not a huge fast food eater but the commercials got me! And I know just what you mean about the girls asking for stuff. Whenever Jaxon or Sophia give me those big puppy dog eyes, it's over! haha
ReplyDelete@Bonnie- The weather was great for the beach this weekend! I wish we had a nicer one closer to us! And I completely agree about Cory! I hope that all of his young fans will learn something from this!
Thanks for commenting guys! I love hearing from everyone!:)
